Character Details |
Age |
Physically 19; looks older than his icons indicate because he's 15 in those. Actually 4000+. |
Hair/Eyes |
Long blond hair (mid-back ish); blue eyes. |
Height/Weight |
5'5", and a weight that's a little under normal for that height. |
Notable Traits |
His canon Key Crest and Exsphere (a large metal setting fused to his skin and a blue stone inset into the middle of it), are gone. Weird! There's a large slash scar across his chest in their place, like someone gave him one doozy of a hit with a sword.
He also does NOT have the tree tattoo on his arm that's on a lot of his icons. Sorry, guys, those were custom for Aather and I'm just too tired to try to re-Photoshop them all. |
15 Second Summary |
Mithos was the antagonist of ToS1, a former heroic figure from four thousand years before canon, who succumbed to madness and grief when his sister Martel was murdered. He chose to royally fuck up the world of Aselia, in the name of reviving her instead of saving said world, in ways that included 'split Aselia into two,' 'never let the Great Tree which powers life and magic on both halves properly germinate and grow,' and 'orchestrate human murder slavery camps.' The main party spent the game dismantling the many corrupt systems and cosmic messes he created in the name of trying to revive Martel, and also (reluctantly) had to fight and kill him at the end of the game. His spirit went to join the new Great Tree.
Via AU shenanigans, he's somehow come back to life, and is really, really confused about it along with everyone else. Also kind of mad? He was sleeping, guys.
Mithos sometimes acts like the teenage boy he was and sometimes like a complete asshole, depending how much situational pressure he's under and how much someone gets under his skin. It can make for some weird swings between blindingly angry; cool and condescending; introspective and regretful; existentially exhausted from living way too fucking long doing bad shit; weirdly vulnerable to friendship and awkward and helpful; and apt to violently reject said friendship. He's. He's got some problems. |
Abilities & Permissions |
Abilities |
Since Mithos is coming in with a real and normal body and no Exsphere, he loses a huge amount of the artificial boosts and abilities he had in canon and has normal amounts of physical strength and stamina.
He is still a master swordsman and a natural powerhouse for elemental and illusion magic, as well as having the capacity to make summoner contracts with spirits, but generally those abilities will be lowered a lot from Fucking Hell These Boss Battles Are Hard levels. |
Permissions |
I'm generally fine with whatever in RP, but if you're going to hella attack him/try to murder him let's maybe discuss it first?
Suicide and self-neglect mmmmay also come up with him a bit in conversation (he can potentially have a real messed-up relationship with his body) but I'm going to try and keep that stuff low-key and check in with people. He's also a walking content warning for fantasy racism. |
Sensing |
Mithos can feel a person's mana, basically their life force and magic rolled together! The extent of this ability doesn't get gone into super strongly in canon but if you want him to sense that your character is magical or spiritually janky or whatever that's cool. Just put it in your actiontags or drop a note here!
You can also sense whatever about him, he has no safeguards against that. He's got innate magic and, like, exponentially enormous amounts of murder on his hands. |
