ITEM THE FIRST: I have forgotten to note it before, but Zack, Edmund and Mithos also co-own a ribbark named Admiral. He is a frog-dog hybrid, motorcycle-sized, with a robot eye. He wears a glass collar and can roam in and out of Sterling freely, and is derpy and very friendly. Feel free to have seen him around/interacted with him!

ITEM THE SECOND: I am infogathering (...f-finally) for Mithos's manasense!


+ It is literally an extra sense he was born with and was lucky enough to unlock early. It's not empathy or telepathy! He can't get a read on people's/animal's thoughts and feelings, just what they feel like, their location, and a rough gauge of their magical/supernatural strength.

+ Animals and people all have unique signatures. He can sense if they have a certain active 'feel' like healing, malevolence, etc., or things like divinity/headmonsters/soulfuck/YOUR MAGIC SMELLS FUNNY if it's not 'hidden' in some way! He can also distinguish someone's species if he has enough experience, though Aather is honestly varied enough that he sticks with broad sorting like HUMAN/NONHUMAN or FEELS NEUTRAL/FEELS DANGEROUS or MAGICALLY WEAK/MAGICALLY STRONG etc.

+ His field is a sphere around fifteen feet in diameter. He can sense distant things too, but it has to be a really large flareup of power. He can feel when people's personal signatures 'shift' with skill unlocks, and how they grow/ebb during STRENUOUS ACTIVITY such as fighting or sex.


+ AS A RULE I tend to limit this skill in games and play the Personae as feeling 'null' to him! I also check on people's stats/permissions, and he usually doesn't let on things like OH HELLO I SEE YOU ARE THE LORD OF DARKNESS WHAT unless it's . . . very situationally relevant.

BUT! Getting everything in one post would be nice! So I would appreciate it if people comment to this post with what pings he might get, and what pings, if any, you don't want him getting, because that can be handwaved easily enough too. ♥

Josh is human, but possessed of an incredibly high Magic stat and MP pool; he is basically a walking nuclear reactor, magically, without the danger of exploding. The color of this power is gold and the scent is fresh oranges, as anyone near him when he works magic can see and/or smell.

Spitfire is human-ish? idk Oh!Great genetics. Mostly feels neutral and magically weak. Oh, and ties to fire. This... will change when he gets some of his skills back, but this for now. :|b

MITCHELL IS A VAMPIRE!! So he should ping as supernatural non-human. Right now he isn't dangerous but if you want Mithos can pick up on his potential to be dangerous, idk how manasense works enough to really say. It's hard to say what his overall feel is like since he can be pretty volatile, but for now he's pretty stable and nice and friendly.

Yayoi's totally human, Shea is a construct made of psychic energy and the source of Yayoi's domain control (which is like telekinetic energy basically) is the silver ring she wears, which come to think of it is also probably a construct made of psychic energy. She doesn't have any magic herself, but let's say she has a sort of... affinity with the ring? Like it's hers and it won't work for anyone else.

Zack is a Mako-enhanced human! You know how that is, blah blah RPG hero blah blah probably pings magically strong though it's obviously powercapped..

Goku is STRANGE I forget what you were playing it as. But pings as either a demon or a god or both, he is NEITHER but as powerful as both, lol my bff seiten taisei.

Viola is a dragonsoul mushed in her own human body, Ayame is a human soul mushed in someone else's snake ayakashi body 8Db Other than that, they both have some special powers as of this comment-- Viola is a standard Tales all-rounder but only has two spells at the moment, Ayame has some more, hmm… less defined more divine powers.

At some point Ayame will regain constant state of dying and this will utterly ruin her CR with Mithos because I imagine being around her will be even more miserable but it hasn't happened yet. 8'Db

Lloyd is a human with an exsphere! The way his signature interacts with the exsphere's might be a little wonky, but within the normal variation range. He doesn't have his being an exsphere baby skill back yet, but when he gets it, that interaction will feel just a tad wonkier.

Nunnally is a totally normal human with only one extremely weak and passive extra ability! If Mithos touches her or concentrates very hard indeed, he might get the faintest sensation of feedback from her.

Temeraire is pretty obviously non-human and he has no supernatural pings of any kind.

Mikage is a dragon that can illusion/transform himself to the consciousness of his past life. IT IS NOT A NORMAL THING TO DO. He has a ~pure and cleansed~ soul, and might ping as holy if you want to play with that.

Vincent has two chains which are sort of like having monsters attached to your soul/person. Dormouse has the weaker connection and is just a sleepy mouse, then Demios is stronger overall with kind of a rampant blood lust. He keeps them pretty much locked down mentally and shouldn't ping off too much unless they're out and about. Talk to me if he would respond to Demios as that is a sensitive issue.

CC is a normal now. She will eventually have immortality and ability to bestow the power of the gods on people whenever that happens.

Ventus is all light and shiny and healing and sparkles. :3 The dark part of his heart--hate, rage, negativity--has been literally ripped out, leaving him incomplete and kind of soul-broken. He also generally pings as an RPG protag with moderate magical capability. His keyblade is high holy/heart magic solidified, blah blah keyblade stuff.

If he and Roxas are both within your field, you'd probably be able to sense some sort of weird connection/resonance between them. (Spoiler: they each have an instance of the same heart, gawd KH. Tiny blond ansibles.)

Mark is a totally mundane human and will always be.

Mika is an angel and a powerful one at that. ANGEL OF FIRE IN PARTICULAR. Holy magic is most definitely here.

I never know what to have Alize's ability ping as, but I'll take a stab at it. Words and music seem to be standard tools of war on her world the same as guns and bombs are on ours, so while she knows the song for triggering the musical equivalent of a giant nuke, and while she was acting really weird while singing it in canon, I'm going to argue that she was in some sort of half-catatonic shock and that it isn't really strange or magical in origin. Just a tool.

On the other hand, musical weapons on her world do mutate the body, and she was shot by one, so Mithos can probably pick up on that. They're said to work by changing the "language" of the body (I'm presuming cells and possibly DNA), so that sounds like something that he would definitely notice. If the gun Eyguebelle shot her with is the same one he used to kill her family, presumably its purpose is to decompose and hollow out the body. It didn't work fully on her for some reason, hence the musical note scars and paralyzed legs.

RIFUL IS A VOREMONSTER AND DOES NOT PING AS HUMAN AT ALL FOR THIS, BUT I THINK YOU KNEW THAT .... idk this is never going to change, it pings malevolent but naturally so and even without the skill back to allow it proper expression it still pings HUNGRY. It is also, idk, probably classifiable as a "strong" ping, magically speaking, but very raw - like it's just innate, it's not like, a skill or anything that she can use like most people mean "magic" ...?

Also he is welcome to notice the difference between the INTENSITY of the feeling when she first arrived and the MUTED feeling it is now that she has yoki awareness back and can throttle it back habitually again.

Kaito is a perfectly normal human, albeit one who is inherently and highly skilled at magic of the sleight-of-hand variety. idk exactly how Mithos's manasense works or if it picks up on non-supernatural magic BUT it's there. o/!

Mitsuru also pings as a normal human, but once she earns back her Persona she will also ping for OH NOES HEADMONSTER. It's essentially a manifestation of her psyche (a 'mask' used to face hardship), the taming of her 'Shadow' (Shadows being the malevolent manifestations of ones dark inner thoughts/desires), and would read as pretty harmless unless she was using it to attack (or unless she lost control; I guess Mithos might be able to pick up on the OH NOES THIS THING COULD BE BAD pings in the background? They would be very slight and not necessarily worrying, though). She'd also ping for ice magic and... generally magic all around, though the magic comes from her Persona.

Aeris is Cetra! Which is not-human and they are basically spiritual caretakers of the Planet. She can/could commune with the Planet and when she died she didn't move on so much as become bigger awareness and all that Lifestream jazz. (The Mako Zack is infused with is Lifestream crap. . .e...t...c... )

She currently has a drop of Riful in her though, so the Claymore-yness is lurking around. But that is also in direct opposition to her Cetra nature sssssso WHO KNOWS.... yes...

Mukuro is a whackadoodle. Reincarnated human has been through Hell, most of his skills come from Hell idk whatever. IDK MY BFF REBORN SHIT. He has a lot of implied or not at all discussed psychic/spiritual power/whatever/something/who knows amano just wanted to draw that.

Okay, so:

Roxas would feel certainly and blatantly non-human. If he can sense darkness and/or light, Roxas has got both elements in large quantities. Nothing about his personality is likely to stand out, manasense-wise. Just a guy - a good guy, but not all bright and shiny.

Shion gets a little more complicated. On the surface level, she's practically got 'healer' tattooed on her ass. Beyond that... She'll ping human at first glance, and not-quite-human if he takes a closer look. Poke me if something ever comes up?

Rapunzel is a physical manifestation of sunlight. Healing magic and optimism and warmth, all the good feelings located in 70 feet of hair. It is EXTREMELY STRONG, seriously her healing powers are unlimited. Imagine an MP bar that just never runs out. In canon she revives the dead and the drop of sunlight inside of her has been keeping someone immortal for centuries, she could heal lost limbs and terminal diseases if not for the power limits. It looks shiny and golden like the sun.

Hakuren and Sharon will both ping as normal humans with something "extra"--Sharon's is "dark" but not malevolent (Eques being a shadow, but neither outright benevolent or malevolent as far as we've seen); Hakuren has attack-style zaiphon which hasn't been unlocked yet; YOU KNOW THE CANON SO I WILL TRUST YOU TO HANDWAVE IF IT COMES UP.
