[MEMORIES # 55, 56 (TRIVIAL NEUTRAL, SIGNIFICANT NEUTRAL)]
* Yuan has left the party!
Won from Game 124: Three's rebalance.
Just a montage of Yuan leaving the party like thirty times unnecessarily, sometimes in a huff! Yuan was the party yoyo HE WOULD LEAVE AND JOIN AND LEAVE AGAIN EVERY OTHER CUTSCENE FOR NO REASON and also for a while he was that guy you know is going to be your next party member but insists on being an unattached NPC.
Since it's a montage it also shows glimpses of a bunch of cities/towns/Sylvaranti military establishments from Aselia four thousand years ago, yayyy.

YUAN FINALLY BECOMING A PARTY MEMBER AND PLAYABLE CHARACTER :I This is only vaguely alluded to -- there's a brief ToF exchange between Kratos and Mithos that goes like so:
Mithos: He thinks he can hide it like that, so it makes me laugh. He really stinks at hiding things. If he loves my sister, he should just tell her so.
Kratos: Now, don't say that. Given that he began journeying with us with a dramatic declaration that he would expose your hypocrisy, of course he presents himself poorly.
So I guess what this memory is is Mithos and Yuan finally going off on each other in front of Kratos and Martel; Mithos declaring to Yuan that he would save the world, make people see half-elves differently, that things can change, generally optimism jesus optimism Tales hero speechifying optimism. And Yuan being understandably cynical, being a half-elf who was older than Mithos and who'd fought the same prejudices even longer than Mithos had! And friction of personalities etc. etc. either way at some point Yuan finally threw up his hands and was all FINE, WE'LL SEE WHO'S RIGHT. And Mithos was happy.
+ P-p-party feelings! Not that Mithos didn't have those already, but this memory combination prompts a more conscious examination of what makes party in Tales terms: those people from all walks of life who fall in or get pulled along by you and who you go through crazy ups and downs with and talk about feelings with and get close to and fight final bosses with while trusting them to throw you lemon gels. Pretty timely considering the original!Sterling upheaval, since he very much considered Zack and Souya party.
+ Party . . . leader feelings? I am not really sure how to put that, but a kind of -- recollection of what it meant to be the Tales protagonist and the guy pushing things along. He hasn't had many real protagonist feelings since he started getting back the bulk of his antagonist ones! I don't know if this pair of memories is going to affect him or how he does things very much -- probably not -- but they do bring a part of his character that's been quiet for a while back to light.
