[MEMORIES # 70-72 (TRIV NEU, TRIV NEU, SIG NEU)]

* Sidequest: K-Katz why.

Won from Game 165: Trauma Candyland for the Gingerbread Witch.

For context the actual game's Katz sidequest involves finding some blind guy in the slummy section of Meltokio, getting his backstory that he was a Katz hunter and that he wants to apologize to the Katz in his old age, discovering the Katz are actually aliens who live on an invisible island, Katz telling the party they'll never forgive that guy for trying to capture them, Katz handing Genis a suit and Genis impersonating a Katz to comfort the blind guy, the Katz forgiving the blind guy after all, and then the blind guy turning out to have been a ghost all along. I don't know man. It's Symphonia.

Mithos's Katz sidequest isn't the same and I can't figure out headcanon that matches canon's WTF right now, but it's similar levels of weird and vaguely creepy. It's okay he's not sharing this one.

+ what
+ what???
+ Alternate costume: Katz outfit; anyone who is/becomes linked to his inventory is free to notice this in the key items page.

* "Is this...Mithos's Cruxis Crystal?"

Won from Game 167: Emilatosk's heart.

The night before Lloyd's deciding battle with Kratos:

Genis: Hey, you know how they say, “He who chases two hares won’t catch either”?
Lloyd: (puzzled) Hairs? How do you chase hairs? You mean chase someone and grab ‘em by the hair?
Genis: …You know, Lloyd, sometimes I think you are a true genius.
Lloyd: Heh heh, thanks, Genis!

Genis: That wasn’t a compliment. What it means is, if you’re greedy and try to get everything, you’ll fail. Like me…
Lloyd: Genis?
Genis: I wanted to be friends with both you and Mithos. Mithos was the first friend I’ve ever had that was my race… But in the end, with my own hands I…

Lloyd: I’m sorry, Genis. He was your friend, and I…
Genis: I don’t want you to apologize for that.

[Genis takes out a Cruxis Crystal.]

Lloyd: Is this...Mithos’s Cruxis Crystal?
Genis: ...I’m sorry. I picked it up in the Tower of Salvation, but I just couldn’t bring myself to destroy it. I took it with me. I thought, I’d at least show him the regenerated world...
Lloyd: ...I see.

Genis: Lloyd, don’t do anything you’ll regret. That’s all I wanted to say.

+ bawww genis
+ This memory gives really weird sensory feedback if it's shared because Mithos is hearing the conversation from inside his Cruxis Crystal. There's also a sense of being very cold and tired.

* The entirety of ToS2.

Won from Game 168: generosity for Kiriko.

Mithos is dead throughout this memory, so it's basically 2+ years (actual ToS2 plus the interim between the two games) of being part of the Great Tree and being mostly asleep but tapped into/sensing the mana of the world. LIFESTREAM MEMORIES THO

STUFF HAPPENED . . . all the weird building-up instabilities caused by messing around with Ratatosk and how they're fixed plus whatever the hell goes down in ToS2's endgame gets covered! But from Mithos's point of view they just show up as shifts and ripples in the mana system. He's. He's not going to be able to really extrapolate what happened very much or explain this one clearly beyond, idk, "I WAS DEAD? AND THEN STUFF? AND THEN MORE STUFF? AND THEN MAYBE DEMONS? AND MAYBE RATATOSK? OKAY YOU GUYS."

+ EXTREME CONFUSION
+ take memory, instant K.O.; it's super intense!
