A round white chamber, with blank smooth walls. In the middle of the floor is a tiny circle of bare earth. There's a single green sprout poking up; it's just begun to leaf out. Arranged around the earth circle are four silver objects, all polished to a gleaming finish: a tiny watering can, a winding watch the size of your thumbnail, a heart of the same size, and a box filled with silver dust.

There are ambient feelings in the air here, which do not go away no matter what you do: unbreakable affection and trust, wound about with a dark thread of sadness.

The objects go like so:

watering can - care
winding watch - time
heart - love
dust-filled box - strength

Depending on how you use the objects on the tree...the tree will grow, the walls will unfold, the room will expand, and objects/environments will appear! It happens in gradual stages--this room is KNIFE'S RELATIONSHIP IN GROW CUBE FORM. It starts out with memories Mithos has with Knife/important structures she helped build in his heart, but if she keeps going she can theoretically access anything she wants--Mithos has always been fine with letting Knife in completely and trusting her not to break anything. As a balance, the room starts out basic because he's always had a care for Knife's psychic powers and how she doesn't necessarily want to see people laid bare all the time--how deep she gets in here is entirely up to her.

'Guardian' will manifest if Knife gets too close to accessing the crazy portions of Mithos's heart, or the ones Mithos knows will upset her. 'True Heart' will manifest if she grows the tree fully and makes the room complex enough--or if she's decided she's had enough and wants to leave.

TH-THERE ARE A LOT OF COMBINATIONS THAT CAN BE MADE HERE, so if you want to go through a specific one just ask \:D/.

PART ONE

stage 1: care + love + strength + time (the first thing you have to do is use all of them on the seedling, order doesn't matter)

You water the seedling, put the heart near it, sprinkle dust over it, and wind the watch forward by a day.

The seedling begins to sprout! It's like watching time-lapse photography; weeks condensed into seconds. When it's done, you have a sapling the height of your knee. The quality of the walls change; they seem to be getting more translucent.

stage 2: care+love+strength+time (still any order, but individual effects now)

CARE: The tree's leaves look a little brighter. A breeze blows through the room, ruffling its leaves and your hair.
LOVE: Small white flowers appear at the end of the branches. They smell sweet. Lean down and breathe in, and you're struck by a sense of intense nostalgia, which slowly fades.
STRENGTH: The tree gets a little stouter, and the bark itself begins to take on a silvery sheen.
TIME: The tree begins to bear fruit, along with the flowers. Tiny green apples about an inch high. If you try one, it...tastes like really good, really strong alcohol. (If you keep eating them or your heartgame...probably ends prematurely because you pass out.)

Once you're done with this stage, the walls become transparent. You can see an infinity of green grass and blue sky and white clouds on the other side. Touch the walls and they're warm! You still can't get through them, though.
